Easy chocolate chip cookie recipe

For novice bakers, this simple chocolate cookie recipe is an excellent place to start: With only one dish, you can have cookies on the table in less than an hour. Additionally, there are plenty of alternatives to create your amazing variations: Add nuts, dried fruit, chocolate or other flavored chips, and even little candies. You can't go wrong if you start with this essentially foolproof foundation.

Lastly, use an ice cream scooper to get even-sized cookies every time. And that’s it! With these little tweaks, the result is a cookie that’s textured on the outside, and soft and gooey on the inside. Perfect!

Here's a chocolate chip cookie recipe for you to enjoy:

Ingredients:

One cup and two sticks of softened unsalted butter

about 3/4 cup of sugar, granulated

3/4 cup of dense brown sugar, either light or dark

Two huge eggs

one tsp vanilla essence

Two-quarter cups of all-purpose flour

One-teaspoon baking soda

half a teaspoon of salt

Two cups of chocolate chips, semisweet

One cup of chopped nuts, if desired

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Cream Butter and Sugars:

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla:

Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures:

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Chocolate Chips and Nuts:

Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.

Scoop and Drop Dough:

Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space between each cookie.

Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft. Keep in mind that baking times may vary based on your oven and the size of your cookies.

Cool on Baking Sheet:

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy:

Once the cookies have cooled, enjoy them with a glass of milk or your favorite beverage!
